The latest kernel status update in available at:
http://www.kernelnewbies.org/status/
This week, a new entry for the Serial ATA work being done
by Andre Hedrick and planned for Q3, as well as new URLs
for the device model and the cpufreq projects.
Also, a big thanks to everyone who has contributed feedback
to make the status pages better in the last couple months,
as well as the nice folks at kernelnewbies.org for providing
the hosting.
With more than 30,000 page views in May, it has become quite
popular in the Linux community and beyond -- one more reason
to make sure your project is accurately listed!
In short: feedback always welcome :-)
Enjoy!

With the kernel summit next week in Ottawa, I figured I would look back
on the last six months of development. Much has happened!
Of the items that were discussed at the last Kernel Summit and are being
taken care of (most still need more work but the bulk is there):
- Block IO: merged
- NAPI: merged
- LDM & driverfs: merged
- ACPI: merged
- hotplug: merged
Among the most 'important & not yet merged' items - at least the ones I
have received the most requests about from people :-)
- kbuild 2.5: should be integrated soon in pieces
- AIO: some pieces are just starting to get merged
- VM: not merged
- LSM: not merged
- XFS: not merged
- initramfs: not merged
As usual, the URL with the details is http://www.kernelnewbies.org/status/
Enjoy!

This week's kernel status update is available for general consumption at
http://www.kernelnewbies.org/status/
With the kernel summit and OLS this week, expect some changes to the
feature list in the near future. Feedback welcome for discussion!
Oh, and since feature freeze is apparently for Halloween 2002 (October 31),
that makes it only 127 days left to get your pet project in... ;-)
Enjoy!
