[Linux-streams] status of LiS on Linux 2.6 David Lehmann Tue, 14 Sep 2004 12:09:41 -0700 I know this has been touched upon, but I can not seem to find the answer. Is there an LiS, anywhere, that successfully configures and installs in the official Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9 kernel? We are using the latest SLES9 updates: Linux version 2.6.5-7.108-smp (gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)) #1 SMP -- David Lehmann Ulticom, Inc. AOL/Yahoo IM: davidULCM 1020 Briggs Road 1-856-787-2729 Mt. Re: [Linux-streams] status of LiS on Linux 2.6 Dave Grothe Tue, 14 Sep 2004 12:36:40 -0700 I am working on SuSE 9.1 with 2.6.4-52 kernel. Some things work (LiS installs) and some things don't (drivers crash). I am of the opinion that what I have right now would probably work with a 2.6 kernel that was compiled with -mregparm=0 (rather then the default "=3"). It is the register arguments that seem to be causing the most problems. So far it is kind of like peeling an onion. Every problem, once solved, reveals another. -- Dave
