The recent suggestion of Python as a basis for VRML makes me fearful
of a language war! Nevertheless, let me suggest another candidate:
Ralph Griswold's Icon. Icon is small yet powerful, drives X, is
freely avaiable, and runs on PC, Mac, Unix, VMS, etc. It's pretty
easy to construct parsers in Icon for sane mark-up schemes.
