I think HyperNews is great. It shows a hierarchical orgnization, each reply
has its own seperate page, it has membership for the posters, and levels of
security. It also allows use of graphics to display what type of message it
is (e.g. sad, smiley, angry, and other). It can even mail all the responses
to you, so you can keep up on answers. It is all performed by scripts
automatically, and be included at the bottom of an HTML page.. The only
downside to HyperNews is that it is a pain to install. I have not done it
yet, because you need to know UNIX, and have a dedicated CGI directory. But
its worth it. Here is an example of a HyperNews Page:
