First, you need to know that this is not a "How-Do-I..." list.

But, to answer your question:

the color scheme is an RGB triplet.

This means that each pair of the group is the number for one color value.

So, "#000000" is Red=0 Green=0 Blue=0

And, "#ffffff" is Red=255 Green=255 Blue=255
