For those of you hankering to do centering without succumbing to Netscape's
"cool tricks", there is the option of using TABLES until such time as the
3.0 centering features begin being implemented. It does not work perfectly,
since table widths are determined by the width of the widest row. However,
by making at least one of the rows span the screen, you can centre table
contents.
There are some dangers, however, in using TABLES.
The first being that not all browsers support them (Mosaic and, now,
Netscape do).
The second, and most important danger, is that HTML 3.0 is nowhere near
being finalized.
It's up to you.
Regards,
Cecilia Farell
