Well, as a graphic design professional, I "program" in Postscript every
day. I don't need to worry about syntax or arrays or variables, because the
people who designed the high level "programming languages" I use made all
that stuff transparent to me. Right now, Adobe Illustrator is my favourite
Postscript programming tool. The code that it generates works great with
any system (ie, my laser printer, my service bureau's image setter,
Acrobat) that understands Postscript.
By not having to focus on the low level details, I'm free to concentrate on
_design_. Beats coding.:-)
