Oh! Dear! The "popularity" argument. "Tens of millions of people can't
be wrong!"

The "serious" end of the market will continue to use LaTeX, HTML or no
HTML, because it does the job. Word-For-Windows certainly does not, if
that is the application you have in mind that millions of people use.
