annotation server usage

I've been promising multiple group annotation server support with a
corresponding GUI in Mosaic 2.0. But, with recent developments in how
we think about annotations (in particular, the coming "public"
annotation a.k.a. document-server-side functionality), I'm wondering
how many people will actually want to have more than one group
annotation server at any time (on top of the public annotation
support), at least over the next year or two.

If I just provide a toggle to set whether or not group annotations are
fetched for a single group annotation server, rather than a full-blown
multiple group annotation server GUI, is there anyone who thinks this
would have a impact on how they plan to use 2.0?

Reponses straight to me, please.

(The reason I'm asking most of these questions to www-talk from time
to time is because I'm trying to keep/make the overall program
interface non-complex, and keep/make everyone happy... :-)

Also, anyone try out the simpleInterface resource in the latest 2.0
prerelease? There seemed to be a lot of interest in such a feature,
but then nobody's said anything since I put it out...
