Mambo Open Source wins award
LONDON, England (April 20, 2004) - Mambo Open Source has won the LinuxUser & Developer
Award 2004 for 'Best Linux or Open Source Software'.
In the category of 'Best Linux or Open Source Software', MOS was up against:
- KDE
- Firebird SQL
- eGroupware
Robert Castley and Ron Bakker from the core development team attended the awards
dinner at the Lancaster Hotel, Hyde Park, London. The award was presented to Robert
by Maggie Meers from LinuxUser & Developer Magazine.
Without the dedication and commitment from the core development team (Andrew, Emir,
Ron, Tim, Brian, Phil and Nick) this award would not have been possible. We would
also like to thank 'you' the community, because without your components, modules
and templates, MOS would not be as flexible and appealing to the new users that
join the community each and every day.
We would also like to express our thanks to Miro International Pty for their continued
support and sponsorship of all the hardware that allows for us to bring you MOS.
Also, a big thanks also goes to UKLINUX.net for their support at all of the UK Expos.
We hope that by winning this award will only lead to bigger and better opportunities
for MOS and continue to help spread the growth across the globe.
